Operationnal Director

My career path within the PVCPTeam

I joined the Group in 1998 as operations controller in an entity that was then called Maeva Latitudes. Very quickly, I was offered to broaden my skills, with a position as sales manager for seminars and groups in the Cannes area. Thereafter, the company always offered me, every 3 or 4 years, job evolutions, promotions that allowed me to change register, brand and activity. I successively managed a hotel in Les Ménuires, then a major residence in Val Thorens before taking over the management of a 500-unit village in the Camargue. It was a flagship convention center, with three restaurants, three bars, a 9-hole golf course, a 1,000-seat convention hall, and an equestrian center. I then took over the responsibility of a major site in the Vendée, a region that I did not know and that I wanted to discover.

25 years of career and still as many opportunities!

My superiors knew that I had a great desire to move and learn. From my first job, I wanted to open up new horizons and get out of my comfort zone on a regular basis. Within the Group, this was possible, without changing companies! Especially as here you get a human environment and values that make you want to stay. For the past 5 years, I have been the Operational Director of the maeva network. In this position, I have had to support a change of model that was not easy for the teams, since with maeva.com, we started renting from private individuals. My experience and my legitimacy were assets to convince my peers and to accompany this change.

To me, “getting back to basics” means… ?

Among other things, cooking for my friends and family. I love it, when I was a site manager, I sometimes spent half a day in the kitchens of our restaurants, to observe and learn. Today, I use this experience to prepare recipes of French gastronomy or try to reproduce my mother’s dishes, those of my Cameroonian childhood!
