From 1999 to 2003 he was CEO and Executive President Europe of Carlson Wagonlit Travel. He was then approached by Duke Street Capital to run the B&amp;B Hotels group which included 70 hotels. In 20 years, he multiplied the size of the group by 10, led 5 LBOs (leveraged buy-outs) until the company was acquired by Goldman. He remains chairman of the supervisory board but entrusts the operational plan to his number 2 whom he trained: Mr Fabrice Collet. He is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Vacances Select which has just been sold by Permira to PAI. He will step down as Chairman of this board after the closing of the transaction. The transaction is expected to close in December 2022.<\/p>\n<p>He is an experienced CEO and entrepreneur with excellent strategic vision, outstanding execution and strong management and leadership skills. He has repositioned B&amp;B Hotels as a cost effective but quality hotel chain with a high &#8216;value for money&#8217;. Early on, he embraced environmental awareness while using this concept to improve profitability. He has developed the Group in 13 European countries and more recently in Brazil. He brings CEO experience, leisure industry knowledge, international experience and strong governance experience. Previously, within the SNCF Group, he was Managing Director of Thalys and then of Voyages-SNCF.com. This combination of operational-digital-marketing experience, strategic vision and recognised leadership will be fully applied in leading the Group into the future.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors of La Poste as a qualified personality (2020). He is also a director of the Lucien Barri\u00e8re Group and Midnight trains. Previously he was a member of the investment teams at Goldman Sachs, Mount Kellett, and KKR &amp; Co, where he was responsible for developing the special situations business in France. He then joined the investment banking industry, first with Deutsche Bank in equity advisory (2005-2008), then with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in financing (2009-2011) and again with Deutsche Bank in credit investment (2011-2014). In 2014, he joined the investment fund Attestor Capital, first as a manager and then as a partner from 2015. Four years later, he became Director of Operational Subsidiaries at Accor. He stayed there for seven years. She then joined Amadeus, the European leader in technologies dedicated to the travel industry. In 2000, she joined Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), the world leader in business travel, meetings and events management, as an account manager.<\/p>\n<p>In 2004, she was appointed Managing Director of Sabre Travel Network, the leading US provider of solutions for travel agencies, corporations, suppliers and developers. For 9 years she developed the business in France and Benelux.<\/p>\n<p>She joined the Hellio Group in 2013, where she was appointed Director of Business Development and Communication, then General Secretary and Director of External Relations.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout her career, Claire Gagnaire has developed a keen interest and expertise in CSR issues.
